Youth Red Cross Circle Formed at JEBS

A Youth Red Cross Circle has been formed at Jharsandi Boarding School located in Urlabari–1, Morang. The circle was formed today on the occasion of World Red Cross Day.

In the program held under the chairmanship of Sachin Shakya, Secretary of Nepal Red Cross Society Municipality Branch Ad-hoc Committee Urlabari and Coordinator of the Junior/Youth Committee, an 11-member Youth Red Cross Circle was formed under the presidency of Khushi Karki.

Chief Guest of the program, Bhanu Bhakta Sharma Parajuli, Coordinator of Nepal Red Cross Society Municipality Branch Ad-hoc Committee, discussed the humanitarian works being carried out by the Red Cross. Special Guest and Principal of Jharsandi Boarding School, Dinesh Pokhrel, expressed his best wishes message and stated that the school would facilitate various activities to make the Youth Red Cross Circle active in the school.

Municipality Branch Ad-hoc Committee Coordinator Sachin Shakya highlighted the significance of the program and provided information about the introduction of the Red Cross, the formation process of the Youth Red Cross Circle, its work, duties, and rights. He also informed about the role played by the Red Cross at national and international levels.

On the same occasion, School Management Committee Chairman Yubaraj Pokhrel was selected as the patron of the Youth Red Cross Circle, and Kushal Khadka was selected as the teacher leader.
